Place To See Benidorm
Many think the Costa Blanca the place to be for those who like to party or the more senior group that just want to golf. And it is. But there is another group that should not be left out, as there is much for them to do on the Costa Blanca and share good quality time and memories together; the family.Of course renting a hotel room or holiday rental is a start for a family. The initial fun on the beach begins to wane after a few days. Instead, consider a seaside destination that offers other alternatives. With miles of white sandy beaches along the Mediterranean, alternate your days at the beach by trying some of the listed highlights. Each day will be a new adventure with the family. Besides, the seniors and swingers can partake in these also.
The Top Activities
Terra Mitica (Benidorm)
This is the largest and most exciting theme park along the Costa Blanca offers everything from roller coasters to dare devil water rides. Even if rides are not your thing the park is laid out well and broken down into four ancient Mediterranean themes, Roman, Iberian, Greek and Egyptian, making it an enjoyable stroll. Exact replica architect of the period and locale can let the imagination feast of ways of the past.
Mundo Mar (Benidorm)
Mundo Mar (Sea World) is a huge marine park consisting of numerous animals such as penguins, sea turtles and flamingos. A favourite of many are the spectacular shows performed several times during the course of the day with dolphins, a variety of exotic birds and the parrots. There is a bat cave on display and a section for very young children to experience the excitement of the park.
Aqualandia (Benidorm), Aquapolis (Torreviaja)
These parks are traditional water parks that will please everyone in the family. With a range of rapid waterslides, even for the smallest member of the group, along with lazy river rides and wave pool, it makes for a fun filled full day trip. Pack your own picnic or eat in one of several food courts available. Just do not forget to pack your sunscreen, although if you do, the shops on the premises do carry them
Isla de Tabarca
A great day trip from Alicante, Benidorm or Santa Pola, the Isla de Tabarca is just 17km off the coast. You can take one of the many ferries to head over. Visitors can snorkel or take a glass-bottomed boat in the national marine park's crystal clear waters, or just sunbathe on the charming little beach Isla de Tabarca was a hideaway for pirates but today you will find seafood restaurants, fortifications, the an Jose Castle and a small, local population and quaint village.
Terra Natura (Benidorm)
America, Asia and Europe are highlighted in this not a typical zoo. Your journey through three continents not only introduces the animals in a natural habitat but folklore, culture, gastronomy, handcrafts and customs of the regions. To cool off there is a small water park with enough to keep the children happy.
Polo Park (Santa Polo)
With 20 attractions, this amusement park will be ideal for many of the members in your group. There are inflatable castles, go-carting and a lake with crash boats and mini golf. For those who are not interesting in partaking on the rides, you can simply walk through the gardens. It is an exceptional value because you pay for what ever rides you go on.
Ice World (Benidorm)
A more recent activity that has popping up in several towns such as Calpe and Elche are all year round ice rinks. Twirling a figure eight turns out to be the very latest craze in Benidorm. No matter how warm the temp gets outside, step into inviting 'Ice World', which opened recently and the whole family will thank you for a visit. The state of the art ice rink was sponsored by Coca Cola. It is situated right in the centre of the city and no need to bring skates as they are included in the price.
