Many years ago, acres of property in Benidorm was purchased by the Walt Disney Corporation in hopes of creating n European Disney World. The deal fell apart and Disney headed for the outskirts of Paris. The thousands of acres were still prime for a fun filled theme park. In the course of several years, it finally came to pass as the land was develope with top notch parks.
Terra Mitica is so authentic in its theme of ancient lands of Roman, Iberian, Greek and Egyptian that you will be in awe just walking amongst the gardens and buildings. Take the river boat from Egypt, enter the temple of Kinetos in Greece and discover a few of your own. You never know what to expect with live entertainment appearing from around the bend. This park also offers everything from roller coasters to dare devil water rides and many rides for the wee set too. Feast the ways of the past as each land offers fine dining as well as fast food.
Mundo Mar means world of sea in Spanish. With that being said, you can surmise that it is a huge marine park consisting of numerous species of marine life and others such as penguins, sea turtles and flamingos. During the course of exploring don’t miss out of the spectacular shows that are performed several times during the course of the day. A favourite are with the loveable dolphins but a variety of exotic birds and parrots are also performers. There is a bat cave on display and a section for very young children to experience the excitement of the park.
More than a traditional water park, Aqualandia is a garden oasis that will please everyone in the family. You will find rapids and waterslides available for all ages, even for the smallest member of the group. The lazy river ride around most of the lower level of the park is the perfect place to chill out and relax on a summer’s day: or indulge along the wave pool. Either way it makes for a fun filled full day trip. Pack your own picnic or eat in one of several food courts available. Just do not forget to pack your sunscreen, although if you do, the shops on the premises do carry them.
This not a zoo but is actually two theme parks in one! Your journey begins through three continents of America, Asia and Europe. Throughout you will view or interact with native animals and fauna among replica architect of the region. The second park within is a water park professing over 700 metres of water slides. Terra Natura makes a fabulous day out for adults and children alike. Beside the day, the nights are something special with entertainment in Africa.
